Super relaxed micro wedding at The Oak Barn, Frame Farm

Mar 29, 2022

Andy and Dawn couldn’t wait to get married. Their plans to be surrounded by family and friends were scuppered by the pandemic but rather than wait for the tight restrictions to lift, they chose to hold the smallest wedding I have photographed. I’m not sure it could have been any smaller.

They knew The Oak Barn and its lovely owners Tim and Deana well after they spent time staying in the onsite cottages whilst their nearby house was renovated. So when they thought of stripping their plans right back, their wedding venue choice was easy. So too was their choice of witnesses. Tim & Deana were asked to do the very special task.

It is a stunning property, one of the highest quality renovations I have seen. It superbly merges the old, rustic feel of the barn and Byre with the highest spec mod cons. And the accommodation cottages are no different.

Dawn looked absolutely amazing when she arrived. A posy of white roses bought from from a local shop made the perfect bouquet. Andy looked just as good. They really were both the epitome of a relaxed couple on their day and I had so much love for these two.

The Byre absolutely lends itself to a ceremony with the simplicity and elegance of Dawn & Andy’s. With only seven people in the room it really was a unique experience. We spent some time after taking some gorgeous portraits of the two before they enjoyed a bottle of very nice bubbles on the terrace.

It was understated, elegant, sophisticated and very, VERY special.
