I’m all about the little things.
But most of all I’m about the smiles. Not fake, ‘say cheese’, ‘do I have to do this?’ smiles but real, ‘put a sparkle in your eyes’, ‘cheeks are going to ache tomorrow’ smiles. These are the moments that will tell the real story of your day and are the ones I love to capture. As a documentary wedding photographer I get to people watch through my lens on the smiliest day of their life.
BEST JOB EVER! My style is unobtrusive, relaxed and candid and I keep my interference in your day to a minimum so your day is about you, not me.
my photograph taken!
You do your thing, authentically, honestly and without being self conscious, and I do mine, with genuine sentiment and passion. Yay!
I’m a relaxed, happy person and I don’t do bossy. If at the end of the night you think you’ve not seen much of me then that’s amazing, we will both have had a great time; you making the most of the best day of your life and me, getting to take photographs of it.
WHEN I’M NOT PHOTOGRAPHING WEDDINGS…
I LOVE COOKING
…particularly a good Sunday roast and I make mean yorkshire puddings if I do say so myself. (My secret is 2,4,6!)
MY FAVOURITE WALK IS A LONG ONE
…with all the family and Nell with a nice pub somewhere on the way and a good, full bodied red wine.
I’M PARTIAL TO A GOOD COFFEE
(usually courtesy of the plush Nespresso machine I ‘borrowed’ from my parents house which I hope they forget to ask for back).
I LOVE HAVING A GOOD BOXSET ON THE GO
The Walking Dead and The Affair are the most recent but I think Breaking Bad is still my favourite.
I ADMIT THAT I HAVE A SNEAKY GO OF FORTNITE
…when the kids aren’t around. I think my top position is about fourth which I don’t think is too embarrassing.
I LOVE A BIT OF STRICTLY & GBBO
…to my husband’s dismay. I do get subjected to the football season though so I think it’s only fair he has to suffer a little.
I’M NOT A MORNING PERSON
…I don’t function properly until I’ve had a cup of tea! I’ve tried really hard to like green tea so I can sound sophisticated ordering it but it’s just yucky. Good old fashioned breakfast tea is how I roll.
OUR FAV PLACES TO VISIT
…Purbeck in Dorset, Durness in the Scottish Highlands and Greece. It’s so lovely to now be re-creating the type of memories I have with our own kids. Durness is just stunning – worth the 13 hour drive from Kent (Yes, 13 hours!) . And as for Greece; feta, greek yoghurt, souvlaki, sun and sea – lovely!
I'm a documentary wedding photographer based in Kent and also cover Surrey, Sussex, Essex and London. I also love to shoot family portraits in the Kent area.
