Rock n Roll meets Vintage – Summer Styled Shoot

May 17, 2019

When Charlene from Cherry Tree Cakerie told me about her vision for a styled shoot I knew I needed to be a part of it. Stunning tattooed bride, amazing two piece wedding dress, a motorbike, wrist corsage and black cake! Erm..yes please!  We shot on a beautiful day last summer but only recently, as I looked through some of the fab images we captured did I realise I hadn’t actually blogged about it. So here you go; a few more images from that fantastic shoot.

The venue was the beautiful Furtho Manor Farm, in the Northamptonshire countryside. You are spoilt for choice with ceremony locations at this gorgeous place but the old chapel is full of rustic charm and was definitely my favourite.

Our Bride wore a beautiful two-piece dress; an intricately sequinned camisole matched with the softest grey tulle skirt. I loved the floral leather pumps, they screamed individuality but looked so comfortable too. Definitely a winner in my book.

I love the colour in the hand-tied bouquet; scarlet roses and soft pink peonies and feathery astilbe, with eucalyptus, thistles and seed pods.

The motorbike was a great touch. What an exit this would be from your wedding, with the gorgeous ‘just married’ sign.

The more industrial style barn played host to the afternoon. I love the look created with festoon lights, soft drapes, black tasselled backdrop, beautifully designed stationery and cocktail board. And then there was the cake! A black tasselled creation with gold brushed bas relief roses topped with handmade sugar roses and calla lillies. We threw in a stunning floral wrist corsage, a Les Paul guitar and some cake tasting and that was us done.
