Engagement Photography in Kent – at golden hour
I’d like to introduce you to Florence and George who got engaged in March this year, only days before lockdown. George works on his family farm in the Kent countryside and they chose it as the location for their engagement shoot which I was more than happy with. The surroundings were stunning and we were blessed with some of the most wonderful golden hour light.
Just like other couples looking for their wedding photographer, they found themselves pondering over if a pre wedding shoot was the right thing for them. As couples always do, they both said that they were awkward in front of the camera but they decided it would be a fun experience and it was just that. In fact, because lockdown prevented them from celebrating their engagement, they both said it felt like the shoot meant they’d had marked it properly which I thought was lovely.
When couples book me as their wedding photographer, one of the first things I do is ask a few questions about them to get to know them a little better. Their reply certainly got my attention. And that is because just three weeks after the gorgeous wedding proposal on the beach, the engagement ring fell off her finger inside a gardening glove, fell out of the glove and got chopped up by their lawn mower! Eeeek.
It was great to hear their plans for a lovely Church ceremony followed by a relaxed, DIY garden wedding reception. Having had such a great time with them during their engagement photography session, I know that their Wedding will be really quite beautiful and I can’t wait. Here are a few of my favourites. (Make sure you keep looking to the end so you don’t miss the gorgeous Taz, the family sheep dog. Wow, what a handsome boy he was)
