6 Top Kent Wedding Venues

Engaged couples in Kent searching for a wedding venue really are spoilt for choice. It isn’t named the Garden of England for nothing and with such gorgeous surroundings  it isn’t surprising that there is a fantastic array of venues of all varieties of sizes, shapes and styles.

From boutique hotel venues to castle venues, DIY outdoor venues to stunning rustic barn venues; you really can find your perfect setting for your Kent Wedding ceremony and reception.

Here are a few of my favourite wedding venues in Kent.

The Bull Hotel, Wrotham

This gorgeous boutique hotel is nestled in the historic village of Wrotham, near Sevenoaks. Couples looking for an intimate, private space to hold their Kent wedding ceremony and reception need not look further than this 600-year old coaching inn. Ceremonies are held in the 14th century Buttery function room or can be held in the courtyard. The hotel has 11 individually decorated bedrooms and the award winning food is amazing.

This one has to be first in the list for me as I am very attached to it. Not only is this is where I got married in 2016 but it is also just a couples of miles from my home so is still one of our favourite destinations on a dog walk. In the summer you can enjoy the lovely outdoor space with a refreshing glass of white or in the winter you can head inside, in front of the fire with a rich glass of red. Perfect.

The Secret Garden, Ashford

With a choice of stunning, unique and quirky wedding ceremony locations The Secret Garden in Mersham-le-hatch near Ashford would be a fantastic choice of wedding venue in Kent. A former coach house, a gorgeously unique glass house, chapel and gazebo are all spaces for your ceremony. Add that to the beautifully kept gardens and amazing food on offer, its not difficult to see why it made the list of my top 5 wedding venues.

Cooling Castle

You have to book early at the amazing, rustic wedding venue. Ceremonies can be held in the barn or the gazebo in the stunningly kept grounds. They are well practiced at gorgeous weddings, evident from the long wait times to marry here.

The Oak Barn, Frame Farm

The Oak Barn is a Kent wedding venue with charm and rustic elegance. Only recently converted into this stunning space, the attention to detail and finish of the conversion makes it a perfect venue for a rustic feel but with modern comfort and standard of finish. The Winding House

A stunning, unique, spacious, light venue for a Kent Wedding. Surrounded by gorgeous countryside, the venue, a former victorian coal mining building, is secluded and private. With its neutral decoration and high open spaces, it feels contemporary whilst still keeping hold of its industrial past. You can find my blog all about this venue here

Allington Castle

Arguably one of Kent’s most exclusive wedding venues, Allington is a hidden gem on the outskirts of Maidstone. A grand but gorgeously romantic setting for a show stopping wedding ceremony and reception.
