For fun, personality, unique details and all day laughter, the wedding of Alex and Nic is yet to be beaten. Hosted at The Bull Hotel in Wrotham, Kent, it really was an all out celebration of these two amazing ladies telling the world they wanted to be married. It was a cracking day and I smiled, laughed and cried along with them (I had something in my eye in the speeches!).

I actually only met Alex and Nic twice before their Wedding day. Nic told me that they hadn’t planned to have a photographer but after we chatted at one of the Bull Open days, she accused me of some jedi mind tricks as they booked me soon after. I can assure you no trickery was involved but I do think it shows that there are the ‘right’ suppliers out there for everyone; on the same wave-length, valuing the same things and that if you find the right ones, it will just work out.

The second time we met was for a drink, just a week before the big day to chat through the plans and timings. I was so excited when they told me that they planned to walk down the aisle together and therefore would have to see each other for the first time at some point during the morning of their wedding. I asked if I could be there to capture it and they agreed. I can’t tell you how cool it is to be able to witness things like that – it’s such an honour. It got even better when Nic told me in private that she had secretly completed all the documents necessary to change her surname to Alex’s which she was going to reveal to her during that first look. I mean, how sweet is that?

The day itself was so great. The first look was wonderful to witness and the ceremony just as lovely. I always love a crier at a Wedding and Nic performed that role for me perfectly. Their rings were made from a ring gifted to them by Alex’s dad. It had been forged from the wedding rings of Alex’s mum and dad. They had it split into two and had the wedding date engraved inside, what an astonishing present.

Bespoke suits, personalised converse shoes, wedding speech sweepstake, embarrassing photo table plan and the best seating and wedding breakfast decoration I have seen at the Bull (courtesy of the Bull’s excellent staff, Locate to Create and Flowers of Borough Green) made this Wedding one that will stay with me and make me smile for a long time.
