WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT ALLINGTON CASTLE, KENT
Allington Castle really is a fairytale wedding venue. I have lived within 20 minutes drive from Allington all my life and only learnt of it 4 years ago when I was asked to photograph a wedding there. It is extraordinarily private and tucked away in the outskirts of Maidstone and due to limiting the number of ceremonies that it holds each year, it really is exclusive and a truly unique venue with a big wow factor.
The Great Hall, once visited by Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn dining with Sir Thomas Wyatt lends itself both to a grand large wedding but equally a unique intimate ceremony with a difference. The gorgeous courtyard is a beautiful space for your afternoon reception drinks but if you want to party into the evening then your guests can walk across the moat to the 17th century Barn.
There really isn’t a bad view to be had here so when it comes to your portraits you really are spoilt for choice. Away from the castle itself you have the lavender walk to the italian gardens with some beautiful features making it the perfect place to take a break from the excitement, hustle and bustle of the day and are a photographer’s dream.
