I’M ALL ABOUT THE LITTLE THINGS

 

I am a happy, laid-back person with a warm and friendly soul and I am also lucky enough to have the very best job in the world. I see all the little things; the hand squeezes, the nervous intake of breath, the glassy, tear filled eyes, the whispers in each others ears. They give me a lump in my throat to watch and fill me with joy to capture because it’s these moments that tell the story of your wedding day and the ones you will treasure the most.

And that’s why I specialise in relaxed, documentary style photography. Believe me when I say that everyone looks at their very best with a genuine, natural and spontaneous smile on their face. You’ll be surrounded by your family and closest friends, having just the best day and I will be clicking away, turning all those beautiful moments into lasting memories for you to keep, always.

I am hopelessly romantic and as soppy as they come and you may catch a beaming smile on my face or tears in my eyes at your wedding. But I’m not embarrassed to admit that. I want you to know and to feel that I am as invested in your wedding as you are. That is when you will put your trust in my calming and warm personality and gentle direction to achieve beautiful images of you both genuinely feeling relaxed and looking gorgeously happy.

WHEN I’M NOT PHOTOGRAPHING WEDDINGS…

I am a wife to my sidekick and soul mate, mum to my gorgeous daughter and bestie, step mum to my two step sons who are literally a pair of whirlwinds, dog walker to Nell, the ball obsessed Springer Spaniel, cook, housekeeper and manager of my seemingly, self generating washing basket, at home in the village of Borough Green near Sevenoaks.

I LOVE COOKING

…particularly a good Sunday roast and I make mean yorkshire puddings if I do say so myself. (My secret is 2,4,6!)

MY FAVOURITE WALK IS A LONG ONE

…with all the family and Nell with a nice pub somewhere on the way and a good, full bodied red wine.

I’M PARTIAL TO A GOOD COFFEE

(usually courtesy of the plush Nespresso machine I ‘borrowed’ from my parents house which I hope they forget to ask for back).

I LOVE HAVING A GOOD BOXSET ON THE GO

Breaking Bad was my favourite for ages but Ozark might be about to change that.

I REALLY WANT A TATTOO BUT I’M TOO SCARED

… Just a little one but I have said this for the last 5 years though so I think it is unlikely to be honest

06.

I LOVE A BIT OF STRICTLY & GBBO

…to my husband’s dismay. I do get subjected to the football season though so I think it’s only fair he has to suffer a little.

07.

I’M NOT A MORNING PERSON

…I don’t function properly until I’ve had a cup of tea! I’ve tried really hard to like green tea so I can sound sophisticated ordering it but it’s just yucky. Good old fashioned breakfast tea is how I roll.

08.

OUR FAV PLACES TO VISIT

…Purbeck in Dorset, Durness in the Scottish Highlands and Greece. It’s so lovely to now be re-creating the type of memories I have with our own kids. Durness is just stunning – worth the 13 hour drive from Kent (Yes, 13 hours!) . And as for Greece; feta, greek yoghurt, souvlaki, sun and sea – lovely!
